airSEM, a revolutionary microscope enabling 10nm resolution in open air.
The airSEM preserves the resolution and contrast usually associated with vacuum high resolution SEM with the flexibility and sample versality of optical microscopy.
Microscopy is used in research and development, medicine, diagnostics and quality assurance in diverse fields such as life science, material science, the semiconductor and the metallurgic industries.
Optical microscopy, the most common technique used is limited in resolution. High resolution microscopies such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM) offer resolution of few nanometers but imply working in a vacuum environment.
This sets a limitation to the samples that can be analyzed and an obstacle for integrating the technique into systems operating in non-vacuum.

The technology consists of allowing electrons to travel out of the vacuum to air with minimal impact on their spot size and efficiently collecting them for image generation with different detectors.
The basic technology has been developed and a demonstration system showing 10nm resolution in air is operational.
After completing its demonstration system the company is doing its first penetrations to the market.
Our focus will be in the stand-alone LAB market, while working with established vendors in the in-line markets (semiconductor, FPD, solar) to solidify our presence by helping them develop their own products based on airSEM.
