Expert Dynamics develops the first automatic software solution for PCB reliability simulation, including HALT SIMULATION. Expert Dynamics software, XRobust, is designed to resolve a severe industry's bottle-neck problem. The XRobust technology adds high value to the industry by providing X 100 faster solution then any existing method, and pushing the reliability examination process upfront to the early stages of the design phase.

HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) is a complex laboratory test process (a fatigue procedure in which simultaneous 6 axes random vibration (PSD) combined with thermal loads is involved). HALT is needed to uncover design faults in electronic equipment. It addresses reliability issues by detecting product weaknesses and decreasing field failure rates / downtime. However, HALT has several limitations: it is expensive and time consuming; it requires a physical prototype and expert lab services; it is a destructive test, making it even more costly; and it cannot be executed at the beginning of the design stage, when it would be most useful, but rather at its end. In addition, inaccuracies of the laboratory process result in inconsistent test results and significant variance between different laboratories.

The demand for products’ reliability is constantly growing, and so is the demand for verification and optimization tools. With existing solutions, the industry faces problems of long time to market, and high levels of field failure rates. There is a wide market potential for Expert Dynamics technology, in many industry segments, including Telecom, Computers, Medical, Automotive, Defense, Aviation, Contract Manufacturers, Industrial, Consumer, and others. 

Reliability simulation is required in order to uncover potential design weaknesses before the product is introduced and shipped. By simulating the aging / fatigue of the products, it is possible to reveal its true reliability, and identify time-related defects or design problems that may otherwise lie dormant for months or years. Expert Dynamics’ software, Xrobust, is designed to replace processes that take weeks or months, with a 1 to 2 hours process. Yet, it leads to more detailed and accurate results then any existing solution. The software is fully automatic, and can be operated by any ECAD user, while substituting an expensive lab process. Xrobust’s algorithms, together with the ability to forward the verification \ optimization process upfront to the early stage of the PCB design \ layout, has dramatic consequences in terms of time and money savings, shortening time to market, product’s optimization and product’s reliability.

XRobust's modules (HALT simulation and others) represent a new revolutionary step up in the PCB reliability market. Consequently, the competition is comprised not of similar technologies / products, but of the existing solutions XRobust is set to replace.
